Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What are pipeline floats?

A1: Pipeline floats (also known as dredge floats or buoyancy modules) are devices attached to discharge pipes to keep them afloat on water.

Q2: How do I calculate how many floats I need for my pipeline?

A2: You need to ensure total buoyancy exceeds total weight. Calculate the combined weight of the steel/pipe itself + the weight of the material inside (e.g., slurry/water) + accessories. The floats should provide at least 20-30% more buoyancy than this total weight to keep the pipeline floating properly (usually with 1/4 of the pipe diameter above water).

Q3: How long is the warranty period?

A3: The warranty period begins on the date the buyer hands over the goods to the investor and ends on the first 18 (eighteen) months after the buyer's handover date, or on the first 12 (twelve) months after the installation date, whichever comes first.

Q4: Are these floats suitable for seawater use?

A4: Yes, absolutely. Polyethylene (PE) is highly resistant to saltwater corrosion, UV radiation, and chemical erosion. They are actually preferred over steel floats in marine environments because they never rust.

Q5: What sizes and specifications can be customized?

A5: We provide modular pipeline floats with internal diameters ranging from 110 mm to 1200 mm and length options from 500 mm to 2500 mm. Custom wall thicknesses, color options, and net buoyancy requirements can be engineered based on project specifications.

Q6: What is the delivery time for bulk orders?

A6: With our direct factory manufacturing capacity and optimized supply chain management, standard models can be dispatched promptly, while custom engineered production runs are scheduled efficiently to guarantee on-time global delivery.
