Product Features

Split-Type Construction You can install the float around the pipe without sliding it from one end, reducing on-site assembly time.
Rotomolded Polyethylene Shell You receive a one-piece outer body with good resistance to impact, sunlight, moisture, and long-term outdoor exposure.
Optional Foam Filling You can select a foam-filled configuration when your project requires additional flotation security after localized shell damage.
Stable Clamping Surface The inner profile helps you hold the pipe securely while reducing unwanted movement between the float and pipeline.
Balanced Buoyancy Distribution You can position multiple floats at calculated intervals to reduce sagging and concentrated stress along the pipeline.
Corrosion-Resistant Fasteners Galvanized or stainless-steel hardware can be supplied according to your water conditions and service requirements.
Visible Color Options You can choose orange, yellow, black, or project-specific colors for easier inspection and identification.
Custom Pipe Float Production Pipe diameter, float size, buoyancy, hardware, branding, and packaging can be adjusted for your project.

Application Scenarios

You can use these Pipe Floats for floating pipelines in water transmission systems, industrial water supply lines, cooling-water networks, mine-water transfer, slurry transport, tailings pipelines, water intake and discharge systems, aquaculture pipelines, floating pump stations, and temporary water delivery projects.

For coastal and marine work, your floats can support pipelines installed across rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ports, lagoons, and nearshore operating areas. They are also suitable when you need a modular marine pipeline flotation system that can be extended, repositioned, inspected, or maintained in separate sections.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Can you design products specifically for customers?

A1: Of course. We have a professional design team that can design products according to our clients' specifications, such as custom dimensions, specific controls, OEM branding, and specialized configurations.

Q2: How do I calculate how many floats I need for my pipeline?

A2: You need to ensure total buoyancy exceeds total weight. Calculate the combined weight of the pipe itself plus the weight of the material inside (e.g., slurry or water) and accessories. Floats should provide at least 20-30% surplus buoyancy over this total weight to keep the pipeline floating properly (typically keeping 1/4 of the pipe diameter above water).

Q3: How thick is the plastic on the floats? Precisely what is the material?

A3: All of our floats are made with tough PE (polyethylene) plastic shells, ranging from 5mm to 14mm in wall thickness depending on size. Each float has a closed-cell urethane foam filling for structural rigidity and safety to prevent sinking even in the event of impact damage.

Q4: Are these floats suitable for seawater use?

A4: Yes, absolutely. Polyethylene (PE) is highly resistant to saltwater corrosion, UV radiation, and chemical erosion. They are widely preferred over traditional steel floats in marine environments because they never rust.

Q5: Which industries and projects typically use these pipe floats?

A5: They are ideal for dredging operations, mining tailings, slurry transport, municipal water transmission, floating pump stations, aquaculture systems, and industrial water cooling networks across rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and nearshore marine sites.

Q6: What customization options are available for orders?

A6: We offer comprehensive custom services including specific pipe internal diameters, outer body dimensions, required net buoyancy, shell colors (such as orange, yellow, or black), galvanized or stainless-steel fasteners, and OEM private labeling.
